The former Chelsea captain has three months left on his Aston Villa contract.

Aston Villa captain John Terry could be set for a return to Chelsea, alongside former Blues midfielder Frank Lampard.
According to the Sun, both Terry and Lampard, who has been working with Chelsea’s youngsters, held a long meeting with Blues director Marina Granovskaia on Thursday.
However, the newspaper fails to state in what capacity the pair would be working, should they return to Stamford Bridge.
Terry left Chelsea at the end of his contract last summer, three years after Lampard who has since retired, and has led Aston Villa to third in the Championship this season.

The 37-year-old’s Villa deal expires this summer, however, and the Mirror reported recently that he is eyeing a coaching role back at his former club.
It has also been reported that Terry would have issues playing against Chelsea, should Villa gain promotion this season, while Steve Bruce’s side would surely struggle to afford the former England captain’s rumoured £60,000 a week wages if not – with their parachute payments set to decrease next term.
Will Terry remain at Aston Villa next season, or is a return to Chelsea now inevitable?
