Aston Villa are interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Star.
The Chelsea midfielder will reportedly be offered to clubs again this summer, with Villa and Southampton interested.
The Villans do not want to sign Loftus-Cheek on a permanent contract and are eyeing a loan deal, according to the report.
The report has added that Villa assistant manager John Terry is a huge admirer of the 25-year-old and has a good relationship with him, and that the Chelsea legend is ready to convince the Englishman to make the move to Villa Park this summer.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Aston Villa?
Loftus-Cheek spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Fulham from Chelsea and could not prevent the Cottagers from getting relegated to the Championship.
The 25-year-old made 21 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Cottagers this season, scoring one goal in the process.

Loftus-Cheek is a very dynamic and versatile midfielder who can play in an attacking role as well as in a more central position.
Ross Barkley has not had the best of times at Villa this season, and it is unlikely that the Villans will make his loan deal from Chelsea permanent.
Loftus-Cheek – described as “outstanding” by former Crystal Palace and Fulham manager Roy Hodgson in Football.London in October 2020 – could simply take Barkley’s place in the Villa squad next season.
