Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Technical Director Edu do not have to sell Gabriel to Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to CBS Sports.

CBS Sports have reported that Arsenal duo Arteta and Edu are ‘united in a shared assessment of the 24-year-old as a key player in their plan’.

Juventus want to sign the Brazilian central defender in the summer transfer window, but sources close to the £23 million (BBC Sport) star have denied that a bid has been made which included midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Arsenal should keep Juventus target Gabriel

In our view, Arsenal should keep Gabriel and not sell him to Juventus in the summer transfer window.

That Italian giants Juventus want to sign the centre-back now shows how highly he is rated in the football community.

Gabriel and Ben White were brilliant for Arsenal last season, and their partnership and performances at the back were hugely important in the Gunners finishing in the Europa League places in the Premier League table.

Arsenal simply cannot break that partnership now and need to build on it for the future.

Now, of course, every player has his price.

If Juventus offer something like £60 million or £70 million for Gabriel, then, yes, Arsenal should consider selling the 24-year-old.

But, we do not think that Juventus will pay that much money.
