According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma are pushing for the signing of Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak mere days after Arsenal’s interest became clear.
It’s claimed that sporting director Tiago Pinto and boss Jose Mourinho want to bring in a new striker this summer, and Isak is one of the names they’re most keen on.
Isak will line up for Sweden against Spain at Euro 2020 tonight, and he will likely be under the microscope with Arsenal and Roma keen.
Arsenal’s interest in Isak
Last week, The Athletic reported that Arsenal are keen on signing Isak, with Cadena Ser adding that talks have already been held.
Arsenal have question marks over the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, so a move for a big striker like Isak could make sense.
Isak is only 21, but he smashed 17 league goals last season and looks set for a huge future, with his former Sociedad teammate Martin Odegaard surely able to recommend a move to the Emirates.

Can Arsenal beat Roma?
You would like to think so. Roma, much like Arsenal, finished outside the top European spots last season, and may struggle to attract top players.
Jose Mourinho is their big selling point, but Arsenal have real hope of getting back into the top four soon – something Isak can spearhead.
Arsenal’s budget should be a little bigger than Roma’s, whilst the prospect of playing in London and in the Premier League should be very appealing.
