Arsenal are still interested in signing Noa Lang from Club Brugge, Voetbal International report.

What’s the story?

They claim that Lang is keen on leaving Brugge now, which has given Arsenal more encouragement to go for the exciting winger.

Lang enjoyed a wonderful season last term with Brugge, which put him on the radar of a number of a clubs.

The 22-year-old has continued that form this time around, with four goals and six assists to his name in 19 games, and Mikel Arteta’s side remain one of his main suitors.

It is claimed in the report that if Arsenal want to sign him they will have to beat competition from AC Milan though.

If Lang was to join Arsenal he could be an exciting addition to one of the youngest squads in the Premier League.

He has been described as ‘amazing to watch’ by Rafael van der Vaart, while Pierre Van Hooijdonk drew up similarities with a certain Robin van Persie on Dutch TV.

Arteta and Edu seem to have moved to target young players with high potential and Lang would certainly fit the bill in that regard.

He may not immediately arrive as a permanent starter, but his pace and dribbling ability would give Arsenal more options from the bench.

Bad news for Martinelli and Pepe?

It would leave questions being asked of both Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe, though.

Martinelli has already struggled for game time this term and another winger arriving would only see his chances become more limited.

Pepe, meanwhile, continues to struggle to live up to the price which Arsenal paid for him – and the addition of Lang could surely see him depart the Emirates.
