Paulo Dybala will reportedly evaluate offers from England following rumours that Arsenal are interested in signing the Argentine international this summer.

According to Gianluca di Marzio via GIFN, the former Juventus superstar is now considering offers from the Premier League and La Liga with Dybala’s proposed move to Inter Milan taking some time to process, with Arsenal reportedly enquiring last week to the attacker’s representatives over a potential move.

The Gunners this Monday signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, however, Arsenal are looking for another attacker this summer, with Mikel Arteta failing to land Leeds United superstar Raphinha, who looks set to sign for Chelsea or FC Barcelona in the coming weeks.

With Dybala a free agent and one of the best forwards in world football, it makes sense why Arsenal would be interested in signing the former Serie A superstar, with the Argentine once being compared by Palermo’s former president to Lionel Messi.

Indeed, signing Dybala would be an incredible move from Arsenal’s part, yet it could also be a very risky on for the north London side given the potential finances involved and how much the potential transfer would undo all the work Arteta has done to trim the Gunners’ hefty wage bill.

Arsenal have done serious work over the past few windows cutting off deadwood and reducing the wage bill, something that will likely happen again this summer regarding Nicolas Pepe, Lucas Torreira and Bernd Leno, which is why signing Dybala makes little to no sense for the Premier League giants.

Arsenal signing Dybala does not align with Arteta’s masterplan

Arteta’s transfer plan so far with Arsenal is to sign young players who have the potential to grow together and eventually hit their primes at the same age, and with Dybala both expensive and 28-years-old, the Argentine makes little sense with what the Gunners are trying to achieve.

Whilst Dybala would be a superstar arrival and could help Arsenal in the short-term, the former Juventus’ attacker makes little sense in the long-term, and fans of the north London side should be hoping that the forward doesn’t end up at the Emirates Stadium this summer.
