Arsenal youngster Tyreece John-Jules could be out of action for several weeks after the striker suffered a quad injury with new loan side Sheffield Wednesday.
According to the Sheffield Star, the striker could be out for the rest of February after suffering an injury with the Owls. John-Jules only signed for Sheffield Wednesday on loan last week to provide attacking cover for the club.
The forward made just one appearance off the bench for Sheffield Wednesday before suffering this injury, with John-Jules’ knock now causing major squad depth problems for the League One side.
This is John-Jules’ second loan spell of the season after the Hale End academy graduate spent the first half of the campaign with Championship side Blackpool. However, the forward made little impact for the Tangerines and was recalled by Arsenal this January.
With John-Jules too good for U-21 football, the striker was sent off to Sheffield Wednesday on loan in the final days of the January transfer window, however, this latest injury update could be a huge blow to his personal development.
Whilst the striker has shown bursts of quality out on loan, picking up an injury already is a cruel blow for John-Jules, who was looking to impress the Owls as soon as possible.
Injury to John-Jules has come at the worst possible time

After a subpar loan spell with Blackpool, a move to Sheffield could have been perfect for John-Jules, yet this injury will now sideline the talented striker for some time, and has once again damaged the forward’s expectations for the season.
Indeed, John-Jules is a striker eager to impress both Sheffield Wednesday supporters and Arsenal fans, and this latest injury could already derail his second loan spell of the season before it has even properly started.
