Arsenal will reportedly arrange loan moves for Hale End graduates Miguel Azeez and Tyreece John-Jules at the end of January.
According to PA Sport reporter Mark Mann-Bryans, the Gunners have plans to loan out the two England youth internationals later in the month after the duo returned from their respective loan spells in the EFL.
Azeez joined Portsmouth, where the 19-year-old midfielder made just ten appearances for the League One side, six of which were starts. John-Jules was signed by Blackpool on loan, where the striker struggled for form and left the Championship club without scoring a goal.
As per the Evening Standard, the decision to recall the two players has been done to increase the number of players in the first-team squad. Arsenal’s match against Tottenham was postponed after the Gunners’ request was granted due to a lack of senior names.
And under Premier League regulations, Azeez and John-Jules would be able to feature for Arsenal in both the league and League Cup given their experience in the EFL.
Indeed, the decision to bring the pair back has been a welcome one from Arsenal fans, with Azeez and John-Jules part of a Hale End group with a ‘champion mentality’ according to Arsenal’s Head of Emerging Talent Yousuf Sajjad as per Football London.
Rival fans will be fuming about latest Arsenal loan decision

Whilst this move has been welcomed by Arsenal fans, there will no doubt be backlash from rival supporters given the circumstances in which why the North London Derby was postponed on Sunday.
After all, Arsenal used a loophole in the Premier League’s rules to have the game called off despite having just one Covid-19 case. And this new decision to loan out two more players at the end of the month will no doubt add more fuel to the fire of the debate.
