According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are interested in signing RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi, who Liverpool are also eyeing.

What’s the story?

Well, the Daily Mail believe Arsenal have been attracted to Adeyemi’s fine performances this season, as have Liverpool.

The 19-year-old has already scored 11 goals in just 16 appearances this season, which is simply incredible.

Now, Mikel Arteta and Jürgen Klopp have identified the teenager as a target, while Manchester City are also interested.

The Daily Mail add that RB Salzburg are willing to sell Adeyemi for £17m.

In our view, that really isn’t a lot to pay for a player who is seemingly heading to the top of the game.

Should he keep up his current form, RB Salzburg could probably demand three times that fee in the summer of 2022.

What could Karim Adeyemi offer Arsenal or Liverpool?

Apart from a lot of goals, Adeyemi would offer plenty to Arsenal or Liverpool – whoever wins this hotly contested race.

The 1-cap Germany international is a willing runner, and sprints down the channels in terrier-like fashion – he’s similar to Jamie Vardy, in our view.

Having also emerged from RB Salzburg, Adeyemi has drawn comparisons to Erling Braut Håland, who isn’t a bad person to be likened to.

The Borussia Dortmund striker has scored 68 goals in 67 games for the German side since leaving RB Salzburg – truly remarkable numbers.

If Adeyemi is even half the player, Arsenal or Liverpool would still be getting a gem.

If he keeps scoring at this rate, Adeyemi won’t be worth £17m for long.

In our view, the Gunners or the Reds should make a January swoop, in a bid to snatch the German before his value soars.
