Arsenal youngster Tyreece John-Jules is reportedly set to join League One side Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the remainder of the season.
According to Football London, the 20-year-old striker is closing in on a move to the historic English side. John-Jules spent the first half of the season with Blackpool. However, the youngster struggled for both form and regular first-team football.
The striker was recalled by Arsenal earlier in the month. However, despite Alexandre Lacazette’s lack of form and Eddie Nketiah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to leave the club in the coming days, John-Jules will also be heading out in the exit door on loan.
The England U-21 international has been with Arsenal his entire footballing career and is regarded as one of the top talents from Hale End. Mikel Arteta is also a fan of John-Jules, with the Gunners manager labelling the striker as ‘powerful’ as per Football London.
As well as John-Jules, Miguel Azeez could also be heading back out on loan. The midfielder spent the first half of the season with Portsmouth. However, just like his Hale End teammate, the youngster struggled for regular minutes and form.
Indeed, the duo are now set to leave Arsenal for a second time this season. And for John-Jules, this loan spell with the Owls could be crucial in how his career with the north London side pans out.
