According to The Express, reports that Arsenal are planning to re-open talks to sign Dusan Vlahovic next month are wide of the mark.
Of course, Arsenal were incredibly keen on Vlahovic this time last year as they looked to bolster their frontline, and with Gabriel Jesus going down with an injury, understandably, reports emerged that a move for Vlahovic could again be on the agenda.
These rumours did seem credible due to the fact that Juventus are currently facing a wide-scale financial crisis.
However, according to The Express, Arsenal will not be pursuing Vlahovic because of how he and his entourage handled their interest earlier this year.

Indeed, Arsenal did try to sign the Serbian in January 2022, but Vlahovic continued to wait for a supposedly ‘better’ option and eventually stopped responding to the Gunners’ calls.
It’s common courtesy to at least have the decency to pick up the phone in these situations, so you can understand why Arsenal are a bit miffed by this.
To be honest, Arsenal may be best off not going for Vlahovic now. This is a team built off the back of young, hungry stars who genuinely want to give their all for the shirt, and if Vlahovic was more than happy to disregard the north London club in January, he clearly doesn’t fit into that ethos – as talented a player as he is.
The Gunners need to go out and find a striker who is genuinely excited by Mikel Arteta’s project and wants to be at the club, and while this player may not be technically as good as Vlahovic, mentality is truly half the battle in football.
Vlahovic is likely to have other options, Newcastle United have recently been linked, while Jurgen Klopp is also reportedly keen, but it seems as though he won’t be going to Arsenal.
