Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are about to make a bid of €7 million (£5.93m) for Newcastle United transfer target Alex Grimaldo, according to A Bola.
A Bola have reported that Arsenal will make a bid for the Spanish left-back this week and will make an offer of €7 million (£5.93m).
Arsenal reportedly wanted to sign Grimaldo in January 2019 as a replacement for Nacho Monreal.
A Bola reported in June that Newcastle, Arsenal and Juventus all want to sign the 26-year-old left-back.

For just €7 million (£5.93m), Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would be able to sign a 26-year-old left-back who has played over 150 league matches in Portugal and has extensive experience in major European competitions.
Now, Kieran Tierney is the number one left-back at Arsenal at the moment, but the Scotland international has had injury problems.
Nuno Tavares did not always have the best of times when he turned out for the Gunners last season and has been linked with moves away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Grimaldo would give Arteta a valuable option at left-back.
