Reported Arsenal and Tottenham target Marcel Sabitzer is set to join Bayern Munich after the Bavarian giants reached an agreement with RB Leipzig.
According to Bild, the Bundesliga champions have reached a €16m (£13.7m) deal with the east German side for Sabitzer.
Bild have previously reported that Arsenal were keen on the Austrian international, with Fabrizio Romano also claiming Spurs’ interest in the midfielder.
Bayern agreeing a deal with Sabitzer will come as a double blow for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. According to Mundo Deportivo, Leipzig are now the firm favourites to sign FC Barcelona talent Ilaix Moriba, who was also a target for Spurs.
As per the report, Sabitzer leaving for Bayern will allow the Bundesliga side to complete the signing of Moriba. Not too long ago, the teenage midfielder looked destined to join Tottenham in the final days of the transfer window.
Spurs are eager to add a midfielder to their ranks following the departure of Moussa Sissoko to Watford. Moriba would have been a perfect option for Nuno’s side given his experience for Barcelona and his age.

However, the youngster will now likely join Leipzig, with Sabitzer now set to sign for Bayern.
The Austrian midfielder also would have been ideal for both Tottenham and Arsenal, with the 27-year-old one of Europe’s best performing attacking midfielders over the past few seasons.
