According to the Mail, Arsenal are monitoring Michael Olise ahead of a potential summer transfer move.

The Gunners have seemingly just sealed a deal to bring Leandro Trossard to the Emirates this month, but it sounds as though their attacking recruitment drive isn’t over yet.

Olise made headlines earlier this week with a world-class free-kick goal against Manchester United, and now, Arsenal are on his trail.

The Gunners’ transfer policy in recent years has been clear, sign young, promising, exciting players, and Olise ticks every single one of those boxes.

The Crystal Palace star is nothing short of sensational when he’s in full flow. He’s a rare talent who makes this sport look incredibly easy, and he can turn top-class defenders inside out without breaking much of a sweat.

Olise would have to work on the finer points of his game if he were to play for a team like Arsenal, but in terms of innate ability, the ‘outrageous’ youngster is up there with the best in the Premier League right now.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, this is a deal that may be very difficult to do.

Indeed, according to this report, Crystal Palace are unwilling to let both Wilfried Zaha and Olise leave in the same transfer window, and with Zaha’s contract with the Eagles up in the summer, it looks like the Ivorian is going to be departing Selhust Park sooner rather than later.

That means that Patrick Vieira’s side will be doing all they can to keep hold of Olise, and thus, Arsenal may struggle to get him through the door.

However, when there’s a will there’s a way in football, and if Arsenal start to pry, it may not be long before Olise himself begins to angle for a move and forces his way out of Palace – even if the club want to keep him.
