Well, it looks like Arsenal will be without Oleksandr Zinchenko a little while longer.

There was optimism that the Ukraine international would be back for Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Southampton, which proved untrue.

Arsenal’s next game is a visit to PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League but it doesn’t look like the former Manchester City player – labelled ‘phenomenal’ by Simon Jordan [talkSPORT] – will be available then too, either.

That’s because according to The Standard, Zinchenko has sat out Mikel Arteta’s latest training session at London Colney in what is an ominous indication that he won’t be ready to face the Eredivisie outfit tomorrow evening.

Likewise, Marquinhos, who has shone in this competition for Arsenal this season, is also a doubt after missing the session through illness, though The Standard did mention that the Brazilian winger, who joined the North Londoners this past summer, could still make the visit to the Netherlands regardless if he shakes off the illness in time.

Kieran Tierney was spotted in the Gunners’ training session, wearing only shorts and a t-shirt despite the rain, and he looks the most likely candidate to continue at left-back.

Takehiro Tomiyasu appears to have taken his place at left-back in the Premier League, but Tierney fulfills this role in this competition and therefore he’s likely to deputise for Zinchenko once again.

Arteta’s side have won four Europa League outings from a possible four this season.
