According to AS, Georginio Wijnaldum has given the green light for Ronald Koeman to sign him ahead of a potential move to Barcelona from Liverpool.
The Spanish news outlet add that Memphis Depay and Manchester City prospect Eric Garcia have also agreed to join the Spanish giants.
However, AS state that Barcelona’s financial situation doesn’t offer much encouragement to Koeman, who finds himself in a compromised position.
As you may know, Wijnaldum’s contract is set to expire in June, and he is yet to commit to a new deal at Anfield.
As a result, the 62-cap Netherlands international is currently allowed to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with another club, which he seems to have already started the process of doing.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein recently said that negotiations between Liverpool and Wijnaldum weren’t even happening. However, he conceded that could change at any minute.
It would be a shame if the former Newcastle man left Liverpool.
Throughout his 211 appearances for the Reds, he has popped up with some vital moments.

Naturally, the two-goal haul against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final immediately springs to mind.
Jurgen Klopp even described him as ‘perfect’ in 2019, a few months after Liverpool beat Tottenham in the Champions League final.
Liverpool’s official site quote the German as saying: ‘Is he the perfect midfielder? From the skillset 100%. He has all the things you need.’
