Everton have missed out on signing David Moyes as their next manager, as he will pen a new deal at West Ham United, the Telegraph suggest.

Everton have been interested in bringing Moyes back to Goodison Park after Carlo Ancelotti’s departure.

But it seems that any deal won’t be taking place now.

West Ham have managed to convince Moyes to sign a new deal with them, which will put an end to any speculation over the Scot’s future.

That news is unlikely to disappoint too many Everton supporters, as Moyes coming back was never the most popular rumour at Goodison Park.

HITC covered Everton fans’ initial rumours to the news that Moyes was on their shortlist when they first emerged and it was not a particularly positive one.

The right call?

Moyes’ decision to stick with West Ham hardly comes as a surprise either.

Moyes has led West Ham to their best season in recent memory, and helped them qualify for European football.

Keeping hold of the Scot was important for the Hammers, as he really seems to have unified their squad since his arrival.

And there will now be excitement about how high West Ham could rise, if Moyes continues to help the London side progress next term.
