Tottenham talent Ryan Sessegnon is set to return to training this week after suffering a series of injuries at the start of the season.

According to Football London, the attacker, who signed for Spurs in 2019 for a reported fee of £25m, will take a big step in returning to fitness this week with Sessegnon taking part in outdoor training.

The attacker has been out of action since August. Sessegnon’s last match for the club came against Pacos Ferreira in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying round. With hamstring problems keeping the youngster out of action.

After a successful loan spell with Hoffenheim last season, Sessegnon returned to north London as a man on a mission. However, injuries have derailed any hope of a good early impression for the 21-year-old attacker.

However, under Antonio Conte, Sessegnon could be one of the players who could see plenty of first-team action with the Italian manager at the helm. Especially given the youngsters experience playing as both a winger and a fullback.

In Conte’s 3-4-3 formation, Sessegnon could well see himself as part of this system as either a left-wingback or as a left-sided attacker. With the former being a role that could be tailor-fit for the former Fulham star.

At 21, Sessegnon has plenty of time to assert himself as a key player for Spurs. And under Conte, the England youth international could have the perfect coach to improve his game this season.

Moreover, if the winger can use this international break to not only impress Conte but to also return to full fitness, then there’s no telling where Sessegnon can go for Tottenham this campaign. With the attacker almost guaranteed minutes in Europe and the League Cup.
