Kieran Tierney could leave Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the end of the season, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano in CaughtOffSide.

Romano has said that Tierney will make a decision on his future at Arsenal in the summer of 2023.

The £25 million (Sky Sports) former Celtic left-back will consider Nuno Tavares’s situation as well when making his decision.

Romano has added that Arsenal want the Scotland international left-back to fully focus on on-pitch matters for the second half.

There have been rumours this week that Newcastle United want to sign the £110,000-a-week (SalarySport) Tierney in the summer transfer window.

Fabrizio Romano on Kieran Tierney’s Arsenal future

Romano said: Tierney will decide his future at the end of the season, also Nuno Tavares on loan is another factor to consider.

“Arsenal want him to be 100% focused on the second part of the season, they’re not in talks with any club now.”

Exit likely

In our view, it is very likely that Kieran Tierney will not be at Arsenal beyond the end of the season.

That the Scotland international will make a decision on his future at the end of the season tells you that the former Celtic star is actually thinking about leaving the Emirates Stadium.

Even though Tierney is fully fit and available now, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is using Oleksandr Zinchenko in his place.

Tierney is a very good left-back, and we believe that the 25-year-old would flourish away from Arsenal if he got regular playing time.
