According to UOL, Richarlison rejected Arsenal in favour of Tottenham, and the £60m deal should be announced later today.
What’s the story?
Well, Tottenham are set to smash their club-record transfer fee with a move for the Brazil international, who has already passed a medical with the north Londoners.
Arsenal – as well as Chelsea – tried to lure the Everton No.7 away from Goodison Park, but it seems Antonio Conte has won the race for his signature.
The 25-year-old will sign a five-year contract with Spurs, and will leapfrog the £53.8m Tanguy Ndombele to become their new club-record signing.
It comes after Richarlison scored 11 goals in 33 games for Everton last season, while also providing five assists.
Tottenham have already wrapped up deals for Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma, in what has been a busy summer for Fabio Paratici in N17.
Richarlison will compete with Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski for a place in Conte’s attack, with rotation set to be key after Champions League qualification was secured.
Tottenham fend off Arsenal

In our view, Tottenham fans will enjoy this news just that little bit more, after hearing they beat their bitter rivals to Richarlison’s signature.
However, Conte and Paratici aren’t done yet.
Once the deal for Richarlison is announced, Tottenham look set to bring Clement Lenglet to north London from Barcelona, with the France international keen on the move.

He will arrive to bolster Conte’s options in the centre-back department, and is likely to play alongside Cristian Romero and Eric Dier as part of a three-man backline with wing-backs.
Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence is also expected to arrive, although Nottingham Forest are competing with Spurs for his signature.
Be sure to keep a close eye on Tottenham this summer, as more arrivals could follow Richarlison and Lenglet.
