Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli hopes to get a fresh start under Antonio Conte, according to The Telegraph.

Conte is reportedly set to be announced as the new Tottenham manager.

The report has claimed that Alli is aware of what Conte has said about him in the past.

The 25-year-old England international midfielder is reportedly hoping that he will be given a fresh start under potential new Spurs manager Conte.

Alli endured a really tough season in 2020-21.

Then Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho often kept the 25-year-old out of his matchday squads.

Alli made seven starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this past season.

The midfielder gave just one assist in those games.

The former Milton Keyes Dons man made six starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa league for Tottenham.

The 25-year-old scored two goals and gave three assists in those matches.

Alli needs a manager who will believe in him and will give him an extended run in the team.

The 25-year-old did not get that under Mourinho.

But the Englishman is already working hard in the gym and is determined to get back to his best.

If Conte becomes the new Tottenham manager, then Alli will hope that he at least gets the chance to show what he is capable of in pre-season.
