Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has posted a message on Instagram showing him working hard in the gym.
This is what Alli has posted today:
It is very, very encouraging indeed.
Why?
Because Alli is showing determination to get his career back on track and start next season afresh.
The England international midfielder had a tough campaign in 2020-21.
The 25-year-old was often left out of the Tottenham matchday squad by then head coach Jose Mourinho.
Alli eventually ended up making seven starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League.
The Englishman gave just one assist in those games.
Alli also made six starts and two substitute appearances in the Europa league for Tottenham this past campaign.
The 25-year-old scored two goals and gave three assists in those matches.
The Premier League season has only just finished, but it seems that Alli is back at work already.

It is very encouraging to see the midfielder so determined because he has a lot of potential.
Alli has not been at his best for the past two or so seasons, but maybe, just maybe, he will turn on the style in 2021-22.
Tottenham will have a new manager in charge soon – probably Antonio Conte – and Alli will be determined to make an impression on him in pre-season training.
