Rumoured Arsenal target Sergino Dest is not reportedly on the radar for German giants Bayern Munich ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Spanish journalist Gerard Romero via Twitch, the Bundesliga leaders will reignite their interest in the United States international after failing to sign the defender in the summer of 2020.
Bayern went toe-to-toe with Barcelona 18 months ago to sign the former Ajax defender, with the La Liga side winning the battle for Dest for a reported fee of £24m. However, it appears that the Catalan giants are already plotting on selling the youngster.
As per Romero, Dest is one of many players Barcelona are open to selling ahead of January. The 21-year-old has made just four appearances for the club since the arrival of Xavi Hernandez. However, most of these absences have been down to injury.
Indeed, the news will come as a worry for Mikel Arteta, who was reportedly eager to sign Dest in the summer transfer window according to Sport. Yet as we know, no such move happened as Arsenal instead signed Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna.
With the Japanese international being a revelation for Arsenal, though, it is unlikely that a move for Dest will rematerialize for the north London side, with other areas in the squad more important than right-back.
Dest can find new home with Bayern after Barcelona turmoil

The Dutch-born defender was always taking a risk signing for Barcelona over Bayern in 2020. However, it appears that Dest could now well be on his way to the Bundesliga side 18 months after arriving in Spain.
Indeed, with the German club lacking in the right-back area, Dest can make the position his own for Bayern. And with Alphonso Davies on the other side, the European giants could have the most dynamic fullback pairing on the continent.
