According to SampNews24, Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks has suffered a setback as his nightmare at Sampdoria continues.
Harry Winks struggling away from Tottenham
On August 30th, Sampdoria completed the signing of the England international on loan from Spurs for the 2022/23 campaign.
However, Winks – who Daniel Levy values at £20m, according to the Liverpool Echo – is yet to play a single second of football in Italy due to constant niggling injuries.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed last week that the 26-year-old was training alone as he was unable to take part in first-team sessions, before Calciomercato revealed that he had stepped things up as he aimed to make his debut.
Unfortunately, Winks now seems to have suffered a setback after ramping up his training workload.

SampNews24 believe the Tottenham academy graduate is now training on his own once again in sessions specifically designed to help him combat his issues.
The Italian news outlet sum things up by stating that Winks ‘stops again’ at Sampdoria – it really has been a stuttering start to his adventure in Serie A.
Tottenham may have to recall Harry Winks
If Winks continues to struggle with injuries at Sampdoria, Tottenham might have to consider a recall.
Of course, that won’t magically heal his problems, but it would be better for the midfielder to focus on his recovery while in familiar surroundings close to his family, rather than in a foreign country.
In fact, this is the first time in his career that Winks has decided to play outside of England.
It seemed to be an exciting opportunity – and it still could be – although Spurs may have to intervene if Winks continues to train alone in Italy.
Hopefully, Winks can shake off his injury problems and become an important player for Sampdoria – after all, he certainly has the footballing ability to do so.
