Son Heung-min had a bit of a shocker for Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.
Yes, Spurs still won 1-0 away to Brighton & Hove Albion, but the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker continues to blow hot and cold this season.
The South Korea international scored a hat-trick out of nowhere prior to the international break for his first goals of what had been a difficult season up until that point.
But that treble continues to look like a false dawn because Son still isn’t at the races all that much.
Against the Seagulls, he consistently made the wrong decision in attacking areas, had a goal disallowed and was subbed by Antonio Conte.

Oh, and he was also reportedly chewed out by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
According to Football London, the £15 million Tottenham midfielder got angry with Son for ‘chatting’ to Harry Kane instead of getting back into position.
Actually, a Sky Sports reporter also claimed that Antonio Conte ‘turned away in disgust’ at one occasion when the 30-year-old lost possession at the Amex, symbolising what a difficult evening he really had.
There’s no doubting that Son is an astonishing footballer and one who will, for definite, get his groove back consistently sooner or later.
But for now, it’s difficult to know what player is going to show up week to week and it wouldn’t be a major surprise if Conte drops him again shortly.
