According to Calciomercato, Josip Brekalo wants to leave VfL Wolfsburg amid interest from Leeds, Arsenal, Inter Milan and Atlético Madrid.
What’s the story?
Well, it looks like Marcelo Bielsa and Mikel Arteta’s hopes of landing the 23-year-old have been given a boost.
Calciomercato‘s news comes just days after it was revealed that VfL Wolfsburg would be willing to sanction a loan move for the forward.
Now, the 27-cap Croatia international is keen to leave the Bundesliga outfit, with many sides interested in signing him.
That comes as no surprise. Brekalo is a fine talent, and has even drawn comparisons with Dutch legend Arjen Robben.
VfL Wolfsburg want bids

By the sounds of it, VfL Wolfsburg are actually hoping for Victor Orta and Edu to submit a bid on behalf of Leeds and Arsenal respectively.
Calciomercato believe the German club are hoping for a bidding war to break out between those interested in Brekalo.
They have slapped an asking price in the region of €18m – €20m (£15.6m – £17.3m) on the Croatian’s head, and are hoping to see that figure rise with some bids.

In our view, there could easily be a bidding war for Brekalo.
He has a vast amount of international experience for a player so young.
He also scored seven goals and provided three assists in 29 Bundesliga appearances last season, which is pretty decent.
In our view, he’d be a cracking signing for either Leeds or Arsenal.
