Sead Kolasinac is very much a forgotten man at Arsenal.

But the next time there is concrete news about the former Schalke powerhouse, it’ll probably be about his exit from North London.

And that’s more likely now because according to a report from Italy, Lazio have joined the race to sign him.

According to Il Messagero, Maurizio Sarri has asked for the Serie A club to sign the Arsenal left-back, among others.

Kolasinac hasn’t played for the Gunners in pre season since the defeat by Hibernian in what was their first friendly.

His subsequent omissions from other friendlies, despite being fit, indicate that Arsenal don’t want to scupper a potential transfer by him getting injured.

Bad news for Ozil

Mesut Ozil won’t like to hear this speculation about his former Arsenal teammate going to Italy.

That’s because it was reported by Hurriyet in Turkey last weekend that the 32-year-old wanted Kolasinac to join him at Fenerbahce, who were even reported to have agreed a three-year deal at one point.

Ozil and the Bosnia and Herzegovina international were very close during their time at London Colney, with the pair being friends away from football, too.

And no doubt the former Germany international will be upset if it transpires that his pal – who earns £100,00 per week at Arsenal – doesn’t wind up joining him at Fener.
