Alexis Sanchez is back amongst the goals as the Chilean international bagged his first of the season last night for Inter Milan in the Champions League. And Arsenal fans were buzzing about their former attacker.
The now-32-year-old forward scored Inter’s third goal of the match as Sanchez came on in the second half for the Serie A champions. Under Simone Inzaghi, the winger has played only a bit-part role for Inter.
Moreover, reports in recent weeks suggest that the former Arsene Wenger favourite is set to leave Italy in the coming weeks. With Sanchez one of Inter’s highest-paid players.
Since leaving Arsenal in 2018, Sanchez’s form has fallen off a cliff. Although the attacker was part of the Inter side that won the Serie A title last season, the former Manchester United ace didn’t feature often.
Yet despite this, Sanchez has remained a player who is remembered fondly by Arsenal supporters, with the attacker bagging 80 goals in 166 appearances for the north London side.
