Shaka Hislop has questioned if Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris can put in the required performances for France at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as he told ESPN.
France are in Qatar as the current champions of the world after beating Croatia in 2018, a game in which Lloris made an error.
In recent weeks, things haven’t got as well for Lloris on the domestic stage, with Spurs suffering a number of mixed results under Antonio Conte.

Former Premier League shot-stopper Hislop has previously expressed his surprise that Tottenham haven’t looked to replace their number one, as he also spoke about the mistakes he has in his game.
“I don’t know (if France can win with Lloris),” said Hislop. “As good as France were four years ago, he had that mistake in the final and you just wonder.
“He does (have a mistake in him all the time), certainly of late and I find that really surprising. It’s less asked of you as a goalkeeper in international football, so you can get away with that a bit more at the International level.”

LLORIS UNDER PRESSURE
The £8 million Tottenham man (Independent) isn’t exactly going to the World Cup in any great form and perhaps under pressure.
This will be the 35-year-old’s last World Cup, but is he also coming to an end in north London?
He has less than two years left to run on his contract and there is talk of Tottenham looking for a replacement, in recent days, Brighton keeper Robert Sanchez has been touted as a replacement.
Perhaps Lloris will be out of the door by the forthcoming summer because, if he continues doing what he did against the likes of Newcastle United and Sporting Lisbon, then his time will certainly be up.
