Ian Wright has namechecked someone like Per Mertesacker who has ‘really, really excelled’ under Mikel Arteta’s Premier League title-charging Arsenal.
The Highbury legend praised the ‘young management team’ that has played a part in Arsenal’s rebuild, rise and turnaround during Arteta’s time at the club.
From Sporting Director, Edu Gaspar, to the current manager of Arsenal’s academy, Per Mertesacker, they have all played their part in some ways.

Whilst they secured FA Cup glory during Arteta’s first season at the club, the trophy they crave the most is the Premier League title.
The main aim at the start of the campaign was to return to Champions League football, so as they sit eight points clear at the top, they are well ahead of schedule.
But that’s not going to stop fans from believing that the unthinkable can happen in May, with Wright bigging up those behind-the-scenes, as he told the Kelly and Wrighty Show on Premier League Productions (16/01/23 at 2:20 pm).
“With the way that Edu, you have to mention Vinai (Venkatesham) as well, even Per Mertesacker and the manager as well,” said Wright.
“As a young kind of team. A young management team. They have really, really excelled in the way they have turned it around and got it to a place where, not only have they got the fans involved. But the club is all one and together, at the minute. It feels like everyone is together.
“But the players believe they can do something.”

TRUST THE PROCESS
They have been words echoed throughout Arteta’s reign at the club. On some occasions, especially during the start, it was met in a mocking way.
But as Arsenal climbed and pushed away those barriers, they are now thriving and the process is being well and truly trusted by supporters.
As things stand, they are deserving of winning the Premier League title. These next four weeks could be crucial because they play both Manchester clubs, who are directly behind them.
If they win those matches, then there could be every chance that they are 11 points clear at the top of the table.
