Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are looking into signing Alexander Isak in the January transfer window as a potential alternative to Dusan Vlahovic, according to The Athletic.
The Athletic have reported that Arsenal are doubtful that they will be able to sign Vlahovic from Fiorentina in the January transfer window.
So, the Gunners are ‘actively exploring alternative options’ such as Real Sociedad striker Isak.
Arsenal will reportedly try to sign the Sweden international striker for less than his release clause, which is £60 million (90min).
Could Arsenal get Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad?
In our view, if Arsenal want to sign Isak in the January transfer window, then they will have to pay £60 million for him.
Sociedad have inserted a release clause in the contract of Isak for a reason.
Why would La Real sell one of their best players for a transfer fee that is lower than their valuation?

Sociedad are in the race for the La Liga top four, and surely they will not sell want to sell Isak for anything less than the reported release clause of £60 million.
The 22-year-old has scored four goals and given one assist in 15 La Liga starts so far this season.
Isak – described as an “exceptional talent” by former Tottenham Hotspur Gary Lineker on Twitter in June 2021 – scored 17 goals and gave two assists in 30 La Liga starts for Sociedad last season.
