Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are facing competition from Barcelona for Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak, according to Sport.
Eurosport reported in November 2021 that Arsenal are looking at Isak as a potential alternative to Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic.
Isak was linked with a move to the Gunners in the summer of 2021 as well.
The Athletic reported on June 9, 2021 that Arsenal were looking to secure the services of the 22-year-old Sweden international striker.
Sport are now reporting that Barcelona are looking at Isak as a possible transfer target.
The report in the Spanish publication has claimed that Barcelona head coach Xavi has the youngster on his radar if he fails to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.
Isak reportedly held talks with Barcelona in the summer of 2021 and preferred a move to Camp Nou to a transfer to the Premier League.
