Ian Wright feels like reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham could be England’s secret weapon at Euro 2020, as per his comments on the Wrighty’s House podcast.
Eurosport claimed last month that Liverpool were keen on Bellingham and were tracking him ahead of the summer.
The Borussia Dortmund youngster has impressed in the Bundesliga this term, but the fact he doesn’t play in England means that his reputation may not be as big as it should be for a player of his talents.
And Wright thinks that the Liverpool target may end up being the breakout star at this summer’s international tournament.
“Someone like Jude Bellingham looks ready to go, with his exuberance,” Wright said.
“It is the exuberance of youth. You almost feel like you have a secret weapon on the rest of them.
“You know when you go to a World Cup it is never the team you think you start with that you end up with. Someone comes out of somewhere. [He could be] the breakout.”
Bellingham to Anfield?
Signing Bellingham actually makes a whole lot of sense for Liverpool now.

The Reds are in need of a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who is set to depart at the end of his contract.
Bellingham would be a long-term investment, as he still a teenager, but all the signs are there that he would be ready to step in and immediately play a first-team role.
Bellingham has impressed in the Champions League this term, which proves he can mix it with the best.
The big question mark over any Liverpool deal is whether they would pay the sort of fee required to land him.
Liverpool have generally been prudent with their spending and buying Bellingham would cost a mammoth fee at this stage.
If he is to be the breakout star at the Euro’s, as Wright predicts, then his value will only increase – and that could take him beyond Liverpool’s reach.
