The Tottenham Hotspur striker has been in sensational form this season.

Ray Wilkins was a guest on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme on Wednesday 27th December, and insisted that Spurs ace Harry Kane is easily worth the same amount of money as PSG star Neymar.

The 24-year-old has been sensational for Tottenham this season, bagging 24 goals in 24 outings in all competitions thus far, and has broken two goalscoring records in the process.

Kane’s 39 Premier League goals in 2017 saw him beat Alan Shearer’s 22-year record of 36 league goals scored in a calendar year, whilst his 56 goals for club and country this year leaves him as the continent’s most prolific hitman.

Wilkins was a guest on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme on Wednesday December 27th, and claimed that Kane would be worth at least £198 million, should any club come in for him in the summer:

New Aston Villa assistant coach Ray Wilkins looks on before the pre season friendly between Walsall and Aston Villa at Banks' Stadium on July 25, 2015 in Walsall, England.

“Not a penny less. the achievements of Harry have been quite exceptional. If Neymar went for that kind of money, then someone like Harry Kane would surely go for the same. He scores from 26 yards, he scores from six, he scores form whatever distance.”

With Tottenham set to move into their new 61,000 capacity home for the start of net season, it will be vital for them to keep hold of the England international, and it could be argued that it would be in Tottenham’s best interest to keep hold of him, even if a bid of £200 million was made for his services.
