Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool would have wanted Leeds United to win against Manchester City, but the result at Elland Road on Saturday evening has enhanced the Reds’ chances of signing Raphinha in the summer transfer window.
Leeds went down 4-0 to defending champions Manchester City at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The result means that City have reclaimed the top spot in the Premier League table from Liverpool, who had gone into pole position earlier on Saturday following their win against Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park.
Leeds are now 17th in the Premier League table with 34 points from 34 matches.
The Whites are five points clear of third-from-bottom Everton, who have played 32 games.

Liverpool target Raphinha devastated after Leeds United defeat
Now, if Leeds get relegated, then it is very likely that the Whites will be forced to sell some of their best players, including Raphinha, who looked devastated after the defeat to City, as you can see below.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported in Anfield Watch earlier this month that Liverpool are interested in signing the Brazil international winger in the summer transfer window.
Raphinha has made 30 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Leeds so far this season, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists in the process.
