The 2016 Rangers recruit made his debut under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox last November.

One of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers players attended Everton’s Premier League fixture this weekend.
Serge Atakayi, who is currently recovering from a leg injury suffered on his Rangers debut last November, added a video taken from Goodison Park’s main stand to his Instagram story on Sunday afternoon.

Everton went on to beat Bournemouth by two goals to nil, courtesy of Kurt Zouma and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
It is currently unclear as to why Atakayi was present, although the fact it occurred during a transfer window is bound to set some tongues wagging.
The winger joined Rangers from FF Jaro in 2016 and took more than two years to make his first-team breakthrough against Motherwell at Ibrox.
He has not appeared since then due to injury, but vowed just last week that ‘it won’t be long until I return’.

Rangers’ first-team squad flew to Tenerife earlier this month, with no fixtures scheduled between December 29 and January 18.
