Rangers will send Robby McCrorie out on loan from Ibrox, according to The Scottish Sun.

McCrorie has signed a new contract with Rangers, keeping him at the Gers until 2023, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

However, according to the report, the Scottish Premiership club will send the 22-year-old goalkeeper out on loan for the 2020-21 campaign.

Loan spells

McCrorie has been on the books of Rangers since 2013, but the 22-year-old has yet to establish himself in the Gers’ first team.

The Scotland Under-21 international has been on loan at Berwick Rangers, Greenock Morton, Queen of the South and Livingston in recent years.

Described as “excellent” by Livingston head coach Gary Holt in The Daily Record in January 2020 (click here to read more)., the youngster has done well during his loan spells.

West Ham United transfer?

The Daily Record reported in April that West Ham United want to sign McCrorie in the summer transfer window.

The Hammers reportedly see the 22-year-old as a long-term successor to Lukasz Fabianski, but a new contract at Rangers means that the youngster will not severe ties permanently with the Gers this summer.

Perhaps a loan deal could be arranged. A switch to West Ham for the 2020-21 campaign would be massive for the player, and the Hammers themselves could be able to judge the youngster better.
