Michael Beale’s Rangers are in talks with Swansea City over a deal for Morgan Whittaker in the January transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Rangers have submitted an official bid for the winger, and that the Ibrox club are in talks with Swansea now.
Romano has added that the 22-year-old winger, described as “a brilliant player” by Plymouth Argyle manager Steven Schumacher in WalesOnline in January 2023 – wants to leave Swansea and move to Rangers.
Rangers in talks with Swansea City over Morgan Whittaker

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Rangers could be able to sign Morgan Whittaker from Swansea City in the January transfer window.
After all, from Romano’s tweet, it seems that the winger himself is eager to make the move to Rangers this month.
Now, of course, the Scottish Premiership club will have to satisfy Swansea’s demands.
But, since the two clubs are in talks, we think that they will eventually find an agreement over a transfer fee.
Whittaker has been on the books of Swansea since 2021 when he joined from Derby County.
During his time at the Swans so far, the youngster has had loan spells at Lincoln City and Plymouth.
