Graeme Murty’s Rangers are said to have held on to the Ibrox sensation, despite his suitors’ persistence.

Rangers fans received good news on Thursday, as the Chinese transfer window closed with Alfredo Morelos still at Ibrox.
According to the Scottish Sun, Beijing Renhe’s pursuit of the Rangers striker was active throughout the month of February, with Graeme Murty’s side said to have rejected a last-minute offer of £9.5 million plus add-ons, having snubbed several lower bids beforehand.
But the news could yet be doubly sweet for the Ibrox faithful, after Renhe signed Benjamin Moukandjo instead of Morelos.

And the year-long deal agreed with the Cameroon international – a previous target for several English Premier League sides – suggests there will not be a renewed approach from them for Rangers’ top scorer, when the window opens again in June.
But then again, Beijing Renhe are only one club – and if Morelos continues his recent form [17 goals in 33 games for Rangers] they may not be the last to show interest in the 21-year-old Colombian.
