Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos will get the chance to represent his country in this summer’s Copa America after he was named in Reinaldo Rueda’s 28-man squad.
The Colombian striker joins the likes of Juventus star Juan Cuadrado, Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez and Everton’s Yerry Mina in the squad.
The Ibrox star had been forced to self-isolate after testing positive for Covid-19, prompting fears he could miss out on the competition but he has since returned to training and will now represent Los Cafeteros this summer.
Colombia face Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Brazil as they look to win the competition for the first time since triumphing back in 2001.
Hosts Brazil will be the biggest test for Morelos and his team-mates in th egroup stage but they’ll be hoping to have secured qualification for the knockout phase before they take on Neymar and co on June 23.
While Morelos has been prolific at club level over the last few seasons, the Colombian has only managed one goal for his country in ten appearances so far.
Morelos will be desperate to put that right and help cap off an incredible season for Rangers with international success.

Colombia kick off their Copa America campaign against Ecuador on June 13 before taking on Venezuela four days later.
Rueda’s side face Peru in their penultimate Group B fixture on June 20 with the Brazil game completing the group stage.
