Rangers star Alfredo Morelos was left out completely last night as Colombia drew 0-0 with Venezuela in their second Copa America fixture.
The Ibrox striker wasn’t even stripped for Reinaldo Rueda’s side as they briefly moved top of Group B with four points from two games, taking a big step toward the quarter-finals.
Colombia controlled much of the game and thought they’d finally sealed the win when Miguel Borja netted in the 90th minute, only for it to be ruled offside.
There’s been no explanation so far for Morelos’ omission from the matchday squad as El Bufalo waits to make his Copa America bow.

The Rangers star was in fantastic form for the Light Blues this season and with Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez missing altogether from the squad, fans were hopeful Buff would get his chance.
With 10 caps and a single goal to his name for his country, Morelos will be hoping he can be involved in Colombia’s final two group games as they look to get their hands on the trophy for the first time since 2001.
Colombia have games against Peru and Brazil before the end of the groups, with Brazil and Peru also meeting last night as the Brazilians ran out comfortable 4-0 winners.
