Rangers are believed to be very keen on St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark – and he has now commented on his future.
Rangers’ interest in Clark
You can understand why Rangers would be interested in another goalkeeper for next season.
Allan McGregor is out of contract at the end of the season and turns 40 in January.
Jon McLaughlin has been a capable backup, but planning for a future after McGregor is vital for Rangers.
The Daily Record reported in November that Rangers fancy signing Clark.
Clark is out of contract next summer and is seen as a replacement for McGregor if he ends up leaving Rangers.
A boyhood Rangers fan, Clark would surely jump at the chance to make a dream move to Ibrox.
Clark, 29, has racked up nearly 200 appearances for St Johnstone and could now make a big move.

Clark comments on his future
The St Johnstone stopper will soon be able to sign a pre-contract agreement as he approaches the final six months of his contract.
Rangers may well be eyeing up signing Clark to a free transfer come January.
Clark has now told The Courier that he has other people handling his contract at the moment.
Clark noted that he wants to focus on St Johnstone for now, but wouldn’t completely commit his future to the club with Rangers lurking.
“That [contract talks] is all going on in the background,” said Clark. “I let other people deal with it and I just focus on what I need to do. I just try to put in good performances and help get points on board for the team.”
“That is enough for me. It’s not at the forefront of my mind. I will find out when anything happens. I am still a St Johnstone player and my full focus is on doing the best I can for this club. That has always been my aim,” he added.
