Glasgow Rangers will be hoping to make it four wins on the bounce when they return to Ibrox this weekend.

Rangers manager Graeme Murty during the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Ranger at Celtic Park on December 30, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

After three away games in a row, Rangers return to Ibrox this weekend looking to make it four wins on the bounce in all competitions when they host Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

Graeme Murty’s men have put in some interesting performances in their last two games as they went behind against League One side Ayr in the Scottish Cup before making even an slower start in the top flight clash with Hamilton Academical last Sunday.

On both occasions, Rangers’ attacking prowess shone through as they put six past Ayr and five past Accies to ensure that they are now in the quarter-final of the cup and second in the league.

The three away games may have helped banish some of their painful memories of their most recent fixture at Ibrox which saw Hibernian win 2-1 at the start of the month, and they will be hoping that their recently-gained momentum helps them see off Hearts on Saturday.

Jason Holt of Rangers tracked by James Forrest of Celtic during the Betfred Cup Semi-Final match between Rangers and Celtic at Hampden Park on October 23, 2016 in Glasgow, Scotland.

That momentum may tempt Murty to make only a small number of changes from the team that beat Accies last time out. We anticipate it may only be one change.

Jason Holt was suspended for last weekend. And while Greg Docherty did impress most of the fans with his display, he was not quite as influential with the ball as Murty probably would have liked so perhaps it may not be a shock if Holt returns to play alongside Goss in the middle of the park.

No team in the top eight has scored fewer goals on their travels than Hearts this term, so Murty will be hoping that the defence, as well as Holt and Goss, can get back on form after a couple of suspect displays.

But with Rangers’ front four in sensational form at the moment, Craig Levein will know how imperative it is that his team manage to get on the scoresheet as it seems more than likely that they will have to pick the ball out of the net at least once during the afternoon.

With that in mind, here is the predicted lineup in full…
