Glasgow Rangers moved themselves up to second in the Scottish Premiership as the Ibrox side won 5-3.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to assess Greg Docherty’s performance as the January signing made his first Scottish Premiership start for the Gers against his former club on Sunday.
Docherty was a key man for Hamilton during his time there, and has taken little time to force his way into the forefront of Graeme Murty’s plans, keeping his place from the Scottish Cup win over Ayr last weekend with Jason Holt suspended for the game against Accies.

It was an enthralling game against Martin Canning’s side for the Gers, especially in the first-half, as Rangers ran out 5-3 winners, largely thanks to a hat-trick from Josh Windass.
There were six goals before the break, with the visitors scoring four after they had initially gone a goal down, before a much more sedate second-half where both teams managed to score once.

It was mixed first league start for Docherty. Generally, he looked very good in the middle of the park especially when it came to winning the ball back. And that attribute has seen him earn a lot of praise from the fans on Twitter.
There were some concerns about his ability to keep hold of the ball as he misplaced a few passes, but it appears that most of the Rangers fans are extremely excited about his potential after a very bright start to life with his new club.
Here is the best of the reaction to Docherty’s display…
