Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard praises Ibrox goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has spoken highly of goalkeeper Allan McGregor, as quoted by The Glasgow Evening Times, and his comments will be of concern to Wes Foderingham.
McGregor joined Rangers in the summer transfer window on a free after leaving Hull City in the Championship in England at the end of last season.
The 36-year-old goalkeeper seems to have established himself as the first-choice between the posts, and Rangers manager Gerrard has been impressed with the performances of the Scotland international.
The Glasgow Evening Times quotes Gerrard as saying: “With the keeper in Allan McGregor, you know you are going to get the experience, you know you have got the winning mentality and you know that he is desperate for this club to do well. I had every confidence that he would come in and do very well.”

Concern for Wes Foderingham?
Foderingham has been the first-choice goalkeeper at Rangers for the past three seasons, but it seems that the 27-year-old will have to work hard to play week in and week out this season.
Rangers manager Gerrard clearly signed McGregor to be the first-choice goalkeeper this season.
According to The Scottish Daily Star (print edition, page 47, July 5, 2018), Aston Villa and Ipswich Town in the Championship in England are interested in signing Foderingham in the summer transfer window (click here to read more), and maybe the goalkeeper should consider his future.
