Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham looks set to leave Ibrox this summer.

According to the Scottish Daily Star (p47, 07/05/2018), Aston Villa and Ipswich Town are interested in snapping up Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham this summer.
Rangers signed Foderingham on a free transfer from Swindon Town in the summer of 2015, and he immediately established himself as Mark Warburton’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The 27-year-old has now racked up more than 100 appearances for Rangers, but his position was brought into question when new manager Steven Gerrard oversaw the signing of Allan McGregor this summer.

Reports from The Scottish Sun on Wednesday night claimed that Foderingham has been told that he is now Rangers’ third-choice goalkeeper behind McGregor and Ben Alnwick, with a summer exit inevitable after Gerrard allegedly spelled out that he isn’t needed anymore.
Now, the Scottish Daily Star (p47, 07/05/2018) report that Aston Villa and Ipswich Town are both prepared to offer Foderingham a return to English football this summer.
Villa have seen loanee Sam Johnstone head back to Manchester United and then join West Bromwich Albion permanently, leaving Steve Bruce in need of a new goalkeeper this summer.

Foderingham would fit the bill, but with Villa struggling for money, they may need to offload some players before they can launch a bid for the Rangers misfit.
Ipswich represent another option, but with Bartosz Bialkowski the clear first-choice, the Pole may need to move on this summer for a Foderingham bid to make sense.
