The squad overhaul at Rangers is set to continue this summer but one player’s wage demands have made a deal difficult.
The exit door at Ibrox has been busy with seven players already leaving the club during the summer transfer window.
But the departures are still not done with manager Philippe Clement eager to thin his squad even further as he attempts to rebuild.
One player who will likely join the departure list is Sam Lammers, who has fallen out of favour in Glasgow.
He joined Rangers last summer but after making an underwhelming start to the season he was loaned out to Dutch side Utrecht.
Despite a successful stint in Eredivisie, Clement made it clear that Lammers is not in his plans by leaving him to train with the B squad this summer while first-team players jetted out to their Dutch training camp.

Sam Lammers move ruled out because of wage demands
After shining for Utrecht last summer, a return to the Eredivisie this summer looked to be on the cards for the 27-year-old forward.
Utrecht had shown an interest in bringing Lammers back to the club but the Daily Record report that he demanded to be paid three times more than the club’s highest-earning player.
Another Eredivisie side, FC Twente, have also been linked with the club in need of a new striker this summer.
However, Dutch journalist Leon ten Voorde told the AD football podcast that a deal is no longer on the cards because of Lammers’ wage demands.
“He [Lammers] earns such a salary in Glasgow that he doesn’t even come to talk in Enschede”, he said.
What next for Sam Lammers at Rangers
An Ibrox exit is inevitable. Clement has made it blindingly clear that Lammers has no future at the Glasgow club.
Lammers is not the only player on the chopping block with Clement revealing that two Rangers stars are set to have their minutes cut.

But his wage demands are proving a problem, and frustratingly Rangers will be desperate to get him off their own wage bill.
Equally, if Lammers wants to be playing football next season then the onus is on him to find a new club this summer.
