The Rangers winger is progressing well after making his debut under Steven Gerrard, the Ibrox manager, earlier this year.

Rangers fans are reacting to news the Ibrox winger, Glenn Middleton, has signed a new contract.
Middleton is said to have penned an 18-month deal after joining Rangers from Norwich City at the start of this year.
But having made significant progress at first team level – scoring three goals and creating another in 12 outings this season – Rangers have moved to secure his services until June 2023.
A lifelong Gers supporter, Middleton was given his debut for the club as recently as four months ago by Steven Gerrard. And Gerrard has regularly praised the 18-year-old since then.
Middleton is also one of at least six players this week earmarked by Craig Mulholland, the Rangers academy head, as future Ibrox regulars, alongside McCrorie brothers, Ross and Robby; Stephen Kelly, Cammy Palmer and Jack Thomson.

And those of a Rangers persuasion are seemingly delighted by Friday’s development…
