Rangers manager Mark Warburton faced the wrath of Twitter after his side suffered a heavy Scottish Premiership defeat at the hands of Heart of Midlothian.
After seeing his Rangers side experience an embarrassing Scottish Premiership humbling at the hands of Hearts, manager Mark Warburton has faced heavy criticism from many a bluenose.

The 4-1 result – which has evoked strong emotions from the blue side of Glasgow on social media outlet Twitter – was Hearts’ biggest victory over Rangers in 21 years and leaves the Ibrox club a massive 25 points adrift from their city rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Warburton’s preference for playing out from the back drastically backfired against Hearts, as his back line put forth a lackadaisical and poor display reminiscent of Rangers’ defensive capitulation against Celtic earlier in the campaign.

The game itself saw Hearts take an early lead, courtesy of a fourth minute Krystian Nowak headed goal, before Rangers’ Emerson Hyndman equalised in the 36th minute.

However, after the break, the home side would continue with their relentless approach to the encounter and seized upon Rangers’ defensive vulnerabilities to surge to a 4-1 victory; with second half goals from Don Cowie and a brace from standout Jamie Walker.

Upon consideration of the performance, result and season progress to date, Rangers fans took to Twitter to offer their displeasure with the current Warburton regime – with the common consensus being that the Englishman depart Ibrox post-haste.
