The deadline day signing of Aston Villa forward Ross McCormack has been questioned by some Nottingham Forest fans.
Despite scoring over 100 Championship goals in recent seasons, the prospect of signing former Cardiff City, Leeds United, Fulham and Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack has not inspired supporters of the 30-year-old’s latest employers, Nottingham Forest.
Forest welcomed McCormack along with Bolton Wanderers forward Zach Clough, Joao Teixeira from Benfica and a second Villa man, in the form of midfielder Aaron Tshibola – as part of a busy end to the January transfer window at the City Ground. The main exit of the window saw Henri Lansbury join the Villa Park outfit earlier in the month.

McCormack, who has uncharacteristically scored just three Championship goals for Villa so far this season, had previously missed training and subsequently endured conflict with manager Steve Bruce prior to his deadline day departure – with the forward criticised for his attitude and commitment to the cause.
Recent tribulations at Villa Park between McCormack and the midlands side seem to have resonated with supporters of the Tricky Trees – if reaction on social media outlet Twitter is any indication, with many a Forest fan questioning a plethora of aspects of the deal – ranging from the salary that McCormack demands, to the goal-getter’s attitude and application.
